ThirdPlace is based on the idea that people tend to have an area besides home and work that helps them feel complete. As part of the post-college crowd in State College, Pennsylvania, we found that people our age needed more opportunities to meet each other, have fun, and build each other up outside of the office or school. There are hundreds of people our age in the State College area, but given that we’re not part of the local undergraduate population anymore and that we may have broader interests than the local bar scene, we’re harder to find and tend to blend into the background of this great area. But no longer, my friend, no longer...
We have a structured social event once a month – things like BBQs, holiday and annual Super Bowl parties, bonfires, etc. We hope that you’ll consider joining us at a few of our events and we welcome the chance to get to know you better!

"On January 12, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti. Thousands of disaster victims need help rebuilding their lives and communities. Many people have gone missing, and those that remain have no place to live, sleep or bathe. Basic supplies are what are needed the most at this time, including: o Clothing o Towels o Linen and Bedding o Hygiene BasicsWe are blessed to have these resources right in our own homes! Look through your homes for those old clothes and toiletries you've been meaning to get rid of and worn-out towels and linens that can be putto good use again for those in need.We will gather all of our donations and send them to Rebecca Gabriel, General Manager of the West Palm Beach Courtyard by Marriott. Rebeccahas developed this support-drive, as she and many other associates of the WPB Courtyard had many loved ones affected by the tragedy. Rebecca and her team will distribute the supplies to those in need. The State College Marriott is collecting all of our supplies now through the next two months (or until people are able to send things into Haiti). You can drop things off at: 1555 University DriveThey'll be collecting for a few weeks at least. Thanks again for your help! Narrated by actor Danny Glover, At the End of Slavery: The Battle for Justice in our Time takes you inside the violent and ugly business of modern-day slavery - the buying and selling of human beings - from the brothels of the Philippines to the brick kilns of India. Undercover footage and first-person testimony from former slaves and respected experts expose the enormity of the crime - but a remarkable strategy and the courage of today's abolitionists offer hope for a final end to this brutal trade.

We will be providing people an opportunity to give to ...Haiti relief this
weekend at Calvary. So all cash and checks with Haiti Hope in the memo will be given to Haiti relief.
Two places that we will mostly likely send the support to are:
Through GAIN: they are in a position to send 500,000 meals to Haiti fairly quickly but they need the shipping money.
Haiti Hope Fund: collect funds that will go to help the people of Port-au-Prince.
