From south & east: Rte 322 west from Lewistown towards State College. The entrance to Harvest Fields is about .5 miles past Elk's Club Golf Course. There are a few two-story apartments on the right side of 322 at Jack's Mill Drive. Just after you pass these apartments, you will see the gravel entrance to Harvest Fields on the left. Because this is a 'right turn entrance in/exit out only' you will need to continue past the entrance to turn around. To turn around-- bear right as 322 splits between Business & Bypass. Go under the over-pass. Take your first left after the over-pass (it comes quick!). Turn left and left again so the Boalsburg Technology Park will be on your right.**

From north & east: I-80 to Bellefonte exit #24, then Rte 26 south to State College. Two miles past Nittany Mall go east on Rte322 Expressway. Follow directions below.

From north & west: Rte 322 expressway east around State College. The expressway changes from four lanes to two lanes at the east end. Harvest Fields is directly in front of you when the road narrows.**

From Calvary– 1250 University Drive: From parking lot, turn Right (southeast) onto University Drive. Turn left onto Atherton Street at the first red-light (KFC on right). Go straight for 2-3miles (south) on South Atherton Street/US-322 BR. Continue for 3.4miles on US-322 BR East (thru State College & Boalsburg). US-322 BR East becomes US-322/Boal Avenue. At this point (Business & Bypass 322 merge) with Boalsburg Technology Park on your right.**

**Just after this slow down & move to the right shoulder. The gravel entrance is marked by a small white sign 'Harvest Fields Ministry Center & Calvary Offices' (1100 E. Boal Ave). Turn right into the driveway, located in a row of tall pine trees, just opposite a white brick wall. If you pass Jack's Mill Drive, Elk's Club Golf Course or Tussey Mountain Ski Area sign, you have gone too far. After you turn into gravel entrance, the big white Barn will be on your left, keep going straight up the path and that will take you directly to the house. Follow the signs for parking and come right in!

Arts/Music/Justice Tour: Saturday, October 4, 2008, 4:00pm - 11:00pm at Messiah College, Grantham, PA: Critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Sara Groves has gathered a group of fellow-acclaimed artists and friends Brandon Heath, Derek Webb, Sandra McCracken and author/artist Charlie Peacock, for her ART*MUSIC*JUSTICE tour this fall, which will benefit both the International Justice Mission and Food For the Hungry. The International Justice Mission (www.IJM.org) is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. Food for the Hungry (www.FH.org) works in more than 26 developing countries providing disaster and emergency relief, and implementing sustainable development programs to transform communities physically and spiritually. Men's Fraternity: Men's Fraternity is back! A great way to grow with other guys as well as meet older, wiser men in our midst.

This year we will return to Session 1: The Quest for Authentic Manhood -- the foundational level or ground floor of manhood. This 24-session study focuses on a man's core identity and gives an overview of basic manhood issues. It will help men deal with various identity issues by looking back at past wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of biblical masculinity. Throughout the course of the study, men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the questions, "What is a man?" and "What am I living to be?" Saturday, November 8th: is a one-day conference for any college student, grad student, 20-something or individual who wants to connect real faith with real life. PAID SITTERS NEEDED: Calvary is in need of two paid child care providers for a parenting class being run Wednesdays, 9/10/08-12/10/08. The class is from 7-8:30, the child care providers are needed from 6:45-8:45 at the church. $16 per night or $272 for the semester. If you are interested and can begin this Wed, 9/10, that would be great, otherwise you are welcome to begin 9/17. We have two rooms, one with 12 elementary aged children and one with (7) two to four year olds. Choice of room would be available on a first-come basis. Ideally we would love for the providers to be able to work the entire semester, but appreciate any help you can offer so if you are interested in partial dates (every other week, or particular months) please let me know! Encore Service Worship Team Gathering

Hey friends, you (and anyone else interested in serving with the worship team at Calvary's Encore Service) is invited to join us for a worship team shindig.

When: Friday, Sept. 19th at 7:30 PM
Where: Ellen Taricani's house (1511 Ash Avenue)

Please strongly consider coming if your heart is to worship with the team up front. While attendance is totally not mandatory, here's some of the things we'd like to discuss:

• Logistics
• Scheduling
• Set-up/tear-down
• Serving in other ways

Above all, however, we'd like to spend time praying with one another, listening to each other, listening to God, and actually practicing (aka WORSHIPPING) together. As such, we'll probably put a time limit on our "agenda," and instead dedicate the majority of the time to simply spending time together in prayer and worship (perhaps breaking up into small groups?). It will be fun! If there is anything detail (or philosophically) -oriented that you would particularly like to be addressed, please just shoot me an email beforehand. If you have anything else you want to talk about (such as the wisdom of McCain's recent VP pick, Edward Scissorhands, or Kangaroo maternity habits), I would love to hear from you.

Elijah Performances, Saturday, Sept.13 and Sunday, Sept.14th: Penn State Christian Grads and State College Evangelical Free Church are thrilled to be co-hosting two performances of Elijah here in State College! Elijah is a dramatic storytelling of 1 Kings 17 - 2 Kings 2, performed by professional Biblical storyteller Simon Camilleri of The Backyard Bard, a Christian theatre group based in Melbourne, Australia, which specializes in Biblical storytelling.
