Hey ThirdPlace Friends,
April 18-19 is CityServe Weekend: Last year 2 congregations joined together for 2 days as 619 people served 2447 hours on 83 projects. This year the numbers start with 6 congregations. On Saturday and Sunday April 18 & 19, we are going into the community to do simple acts of service – walk the pathway of blessing and let the love of Jesus loose in the Centre Region. Instead of having church we are going to be the church. Instead of going to church, the church is going to the community. So don’t show up at any of Calvary’s worship gatherings. Led by our multi-church planning team we will be serving people in our area by meeting tangible needs. We will be demonstrating acts of kindness to encourage and uplift others in our community. That’s what CityServe is all about.
Please go to www.sc-cityserve.org/servant.php ASAP and browse all the projects that are available and sign up to serve!! We have many spots that are still open, and we’d LOVE to meet these needs in our community!!
If you have already signed up to serve with your Life Group, or just as an individual, THANK YOU!! Please consider signing up for another project, we have plenty and could definitely use the help!!
