Come support those who are trying to go to Rwanda this summer to help out at a Boys Home for Street Children! The Equipping Sessions: May 28th from 7pm-9pm in Fellowship Hall at 1250 University Drive!

These sessions are to train and equip to be able to serve Jesus in different ways as He gives opportunity. Join us as we get healthy and outfit ourselves for the work of His Kingdom with lively training that includes: teaching, prayer, worship, and application. Will meet monthly on the last Thursday of the month. We want to equip and empower people and believe that this will give the Body an opportunity to learn from various speakers who will share on a number of different topics. Although each session will look different depending on the speaker, they will always include a time of worship in the beginning (15-20min), sharing (30min.), and then discussion and application (this will either be in small groups or otherwise, again depending on the speaker). Bruce Eveleth will be heading off this 2nd Session and will be speaking on Spiritual Gifting. We are looking forward to this time and hope that you can make it! ThirdPlace Celebration: Saturday, May 30th 7pm-9pm! (Mark your calendars!)

We have seen God do incredible things in and through members of ThirdPlace. It is our desire to stop and celebrate the great things that God is doing! The celebration will include a time of worship, live music, and prayer. We will specifically be praying for people transitioning to another stage in their lives (couples who are newly engaged or married, people moving to different locations, people going on short term missions trips, etc.). We want to bless people as they transition....so if you are leaving State College, or just transiting in some way, we’d love, LOVE to share, pray for you, and celebrate you! Blue & White Tailgate: Saturday, April 25 11am-??

Come join us on Saturday & check out the 2009 PSU football team!

Blue White is the annual Penn State football scrimmage. For those of us that are football fans, it means an excuse to tailgate and wear our blue & white in April!! They also have a carnival set up beside the stadium where you can get a lot of different food. The game starts at 2pm and it is free admission and free parking. There are a few of us meeting at the North Atherton Wal-Mart parking lot (on the left side of the parking lot facing the store) at 10 to drive to the fields together. This way we can get a bigger space to tailgate together and can be set up by 11am. If anyone would like to join us in the morning, you can meet us there or you can call us around 11 to see where we are set up and come join us in the fields. Barn Dance at Rosenberger Barn: Saturday, April 25th, 8pm-12am

We're bringing back the band Smashing Windows from New York and they will be calling the night. If you've never been to a Barn Dance, fear not. The barn is located at 607 Smith Lane, Centre Hall, PA (near Linden Hall). This is about a 15 minute drive from downtown State College
• Go east on business Route 322 or on Mount Nittany Expressway Route 322
• Take Route 45 east (go 1-2 miles)
• Turn left onto Linden Hall Road, which is just after Aspen Heights (large home development on your left)
• Go about 1/2 mile to the stop sign and turn right onto Rock Hill Road at the pond, which is on the right
• Go about 1/4 mile to the stop sign and turn right onto Brush Valley Road
• Go exactly one mile on Brush Valley Road

Documentary Screening

There will be a screening of the documentary "The Day My God Died" on Monday April 20th in 212 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center. CityServe this weekend, April 18-19!!!

Hey ThirdPlace Friends,

April 18-19 is CityServe Weekend: Last year 2 congregations joined together for 2 days as 619 people served 2447 hours on 83 projects. This year the numbers start with 6 congregations. On Saturday and Sunday April 18 & 19, we are going into the community to do simple acts of service – walk the pathway of blessing and let the love of Jesus loose in the Centre Region. Instead of having church we are going to be the church. Instead of going to church, the church is going to the community. So don’t show up at any of Calvary’s worship gatherings. Led by our multi-church planning team we will be serving people in our area by meeting tangible needs. We will be demonstrating acts of kindness to encourage and uplift others in our community. That’s what CityServe is all about.
